Personalized Pocket Calendars

Well, I have officially finished the personalized pocket calendars for the teachers, bus drivers and aids. I think I am going to try to do a few more for therapists as well, but we'll see if I get around to it. Here is a look at all but 3 of them, (I delivered them this morning and forgot to take photos). I just bought the $1 pocket calendars at Michael's and then personalized them with paper, cricut cuts and embellishments!

Mini Albums

I have been working on a few mini albums for gifts. I still have a couple more to make, and need to embelish these! They are fun, cute and really easy to make! I can share the directions just ask.

I Got my Goodies from Robin!

I got 'em! My hubby checked the mail late Saturday night and my package of goodies that I randomly won from Robin's Creative Cottage was there! I couldn't wait to open it! Thanks again Robin! I did take a photo to post, even though I have been too busy to get it posted! I especially love the note cards and chocolate package. I will have to figure those out and make some of my own!

Snow Day!

Today was a snow day for most of the city! I don't really know how much snow we got, but I know it was COLD and is going to be colder tonight! I am very thankful for a warm house tonight! Zach, my oldest is sick with sinus infection, so I am thankful we could just stay inside today and keep cozy. Today is also my Mom's birthday! I think we are going to celebrate after the weather warms up some. (Our wind chills were in the negative teens today and forcasted in the negative 20's tonight) After I figured out that my laptop needs to be sent back for repairs AGAIN, I decided to work on craft projects. I told the pre-school teachers that I would cut some 3-D snowflakes for the kids to decorate. They asked if I could make some for the morning class as well, so I cut 35 sets of the 3-D snowflakes from the "When It's Cold Outside" cricut cartridge. I can't wait to see them decorated and hanging around the classroom. Tonight I found out that I won a giveaway from a fellow blogger's site. (Thank you Robin) I am SO EXCITED! I can't wait until my blog is cool enough to have giveaways and lots of followers! Someday, maybe someday!

Thanksgiving weekend was great!

Thanksgiving was nice! Mom and I had a good time preparing the food together. I am very grateful that she and Dad came over to help! I am sure Ron and I could have handled it, but it was nice. The dressing and the cranberry salad both turned out great! The dressing was a little on the sage/poultry seasoning side, but we know what we did so we can fix it next time! After we ate, the boys played on the Wii and outside, the guys watched TV and movies and us ladies looked through the ads for Black Friday shopping, then we went to Michael's for their Thanksgiving sale (Cricut Cartridges). I bought 3 and my sister bought 2, even though JoAnn's had them cheaper on Saturday. I wanted to make sure I got the ones I wanted. I will take back the ones that I was able to get at JoAnn's cheaper! Black Friday shopping was a success too! I took my niece with me and we left my house for Target at 4:15 a.m. We waited in line at Target for about 30 min., it was cold but not unbearable! We got the things we wanted there, got checked out and headed to K-Mart. I was in search of a netbook (for Zach from Grammy), they had sold out, so we left and headed back to Target because I realized I had forgotten a few things. Let me just say that in the early morning hours, you should double check which car you are getting into! Got what we needed at Target and headed to WalMart. Called my Uncle who was buying a Karaoke machine (huge on my wish list) at Sears.com, so made a pit stop at Sears, got the Karaoke machine and headed on to WalMart. My sister had already gotten a few of the things at WalMart, got the rest of what I thought I needed/wanted, and decided to head to the other K-Mart in town just to see if they had the netbook! THEY DID! I got the LAST ONE!! Let me just say, there is an awesome feeling/high that comes from getting the last item from a Black Friday sale (especially when another person comes up that was after the same item). I know that is really not nice, but it's truthful! So I was pretty happy with my purchases to say the least!
