Hello Kitty Write on Wipe off Board

This is a write on wipe off board that I made.  A few years ago, I saw this idea on the Cricut Message Board.  I don't remember who posted it, but I thought it was a very neat idea.  I asked my Dad if he could get me some plexi glass.  We called around and everyone locally was too expensive, so he went to Home Depot or Lowes and bought a piece of plexi glass and cut it into 12x12 pieces (and cut the scraps into like 5x7 pieces too)  This is only the 4th one of these I have made, even though I really like the way they turn out.  With this one, I cut the Hello Kitty at 5.5 inches and the letters are from Pooh Font with the Marker and Marker shadow feature cut at probably 2 inches.  I glued or double stick taped them to the patterned paper, then I drilled holes in the corners of the plexi glass and put large pink brads in the holes and poked then into the patterned paper and secured them.  On the top two brads, I also poked them trough ribbon and then tied the ribbon at the top.  I usually write a message on the board and give the receipent a dry erase marker as well.  Again, pretty simple!

Hello Kitty Bag Topper

Here is a bag topper I made using Hello Kitt Greetings cartridge.  I think this cut was made at like 2.5 inches.  I just filled the bag with candy and gum and then folder the red carstock over the top and stapled it closed.  Then added the Hello Kitty.  Very Simple and a big hit!

Hello Kitty Altered Notebook

Here is a couple of photos of the altered notebook I made for a little girl for her birthday.  I took a compisition notebook and covered it with the pink pattern paper (on the front as well as the back).  I then inked the edges (front and back).  I put a piece of red carstock down the edge with some pick fiber on top of it.  Hello Kitty is cut at 5.5.  I then decided to put the little girl's name on the front, I used Jasmine cart. for the name.  Again, very simple, cute and fun!

Hello Kitty Birthday Card

Here is a Birthday card I made.  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder (flowers) on the yellow part of the front of the card, as well Swiss dots on the pink and yellow part of the cake.  I inked the edges of the yellow piece on the front as well.  I cut the Hello Kitty at 5.5 for the front of the card.  I think I ended up making the card like 5x6 or something close to that. (smaller than 5x7)  I decided to make the present and balloon on the inside of the card for fun.  The present was cut at like 1.5 I think, and the balloon was like 3 inches.  I really had fun with this cartridge!

Finally got around to creating some things!

Well, I had to borrow the Hello Kitty cartridge from Pam (Pammie K on the MB), so I could create something for a little girl in Riley's pre-school class.  I had a great time in just a few days.  Well, by the time I got to work on it Thursday night and then again on Friday morning, I guess it was hours and not days.  I made a card, a write on wipe off board, a bag topper and an altered notebook, and a gift bag, (but I forgot to take a picture of the gift bag).  Everything was a big hit!  The little girl and her mother really loved it all!  Now I think I might have to get the cartridge!  I know that is a little crazy since I only have boys, but the cuts were really easy and fun, and I can use it for other birthday gifts and maybe even to create some things to take to a craft fair and sell!  We will see if that happens, but maybe!
