Wooo Whoo!

I just wanted to say that I am sooooo excited!  I got two orders for 10 each on the gift card holders I post earlier.  I took them (along with a few other things) with me to Riley's school to show them to the front office ladies and a few of my friends came in the office and got to see them too.  Then someone asked how much do I sell them for, and I said I wasn't sure on some of them, but the gift card holders I sold for $2.50 each and right away the front office gal said I want 10 and then one of my bunco friends said that she wanted 10 too!  I am so happy!  Now I won't just be playing, I'll be "working"!

Gift Card Holders

Well, I am finally getting around to posting these.  I was in a gift card holder mood for quite a while and made quite a few of them.  I wish I would have thought of it earlier and I could have signed up for a local craft fair and tried to sell these.  I did take them with me to show the ladies that I was at a scrapbook retreat with and the owner of the retreat bought 4 of them for $2.50 each.  Not sure if that was a fair price, but she was good with it and so was I.  I got the ideas for these from ChicnScratch and Pantala40 off YouTube.  I didn't use the Top Note Die like she did in her video, instead I used a cut that is VERY similar from the Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge.  I really loved the way they turned out and can't wait to make more.

This is the back of the one I scraplifted from ChicnScratch.  It is made using a coaster.

This is the back of the others.  I got the idea for this one from Pantala40 off YouTube.

Halloween Waterfall Card

It has been a long time since I posted anything!  The other day I decided to try to make a waterfall card that I saw on Youtube.  I don't remember who's video I saw, but apparently these are not "new" they are just new to me and I love them.  So here is a photo or two of my first one.  I hope you like it!

Hello Kitty Write on Wipe off Board

This is a write on wipe off board that I made.  A few years ago, I saw this idea on the Cricut Message Board.  I don't remember who posted it, but I thought it was a very neat idea.  I asked my Dad if he could get me some plexi glass.  We called around and everyone locally was too expensive, so he went to Home Depot or Lowes and bought a piece of plexi glass and cut it into 12x12 pieces (and cut the scraps into like 5x7 pieces too)  This is only the 4th one of these I have made, even though I really like the way they turn out.  With this one, I cut the Hello Kitty at 5.5 inches and the letters are from Pooh Font with the Marker and Marker shadow feature cut at probably 2 inches.  I glued or double stick taped them to the patterned paper, then I drilled holes in the corners of the plexi glass and put large pink brads in the holes and poked then into the patterned paper and secured them.  On the top two brads, I also poked them trough ribbon and then tied the ribbon at the top.  I usually write a message on the board and give the receipent a dry erase marker as well.  Again, pretty simple!

Hello Kitty Bag Topper

Here is a bag topper I made using Hello Kitt Greetings cartridge.  I think this cut was made at like 2.5 inches.  I just filled the bag with candy and gum and then folder the red carstock over the top and stapled it closed.  Then added the Hello Kitty.  Very Simple and a big hit!

Hello Kitty Altered Notebook

Here is a couple of photos of the altered notebook I made for a little girl for her birthday.  I took a compisition notebook and covered it with the pink pattern paper (on the front as well as the back).  I then inked the edges (front and back).  I put a piece of red carstock down the edge with some pick fiber on top of it.  Hello Kitty is cut at 5.5.  I then decided to put the little girl's name on the front, I used Jasmine cart. for the name.  Again, very simple, cute and fun!
